A threaded rod, commonly referred to as a stud, is an elongated rod that possesses threading at both ends; the thread may extend the entire length of the rod. These rods are specifically engineered for use in tension applications. The term all-thread (ATR) is frequently employed to denote threaded rod in bar stock form; other designations include fully-threaded rod, redi-rod, continuously-threaded rod, and TFL rod. Threaded rods are typically manufactured from materials such as galvanized steel, mild steel, stainless steel, nylon, brass, copper, aluminum, and titanium.
