The male hinge is affixed to the gate post, whereas the female hinge is secured to the gate upright. Subsequently, the female hinge accommodates the 5/8" male hinge pin. These hinges exhibit simplicity in both design and functionality, ensuring the reliable support of your gate for many years. Generally, two hinges are employed for the majority of gates, while three to four hinges may be required for taller and/or heavier gates.
